Quick facts
- Where: Settings, then Import your data (or ask Opti "import my Cozi list").
- What it reads: CSV, text, JSON, .ics calendar and PDF files, or up to 10 screenshots at a time.
- Where items go: tasks, the family calendar (with repeats when the file states them), shopping list, pantry, recipes, service providers and medications.
- Review first: nothing is saved until you tap Import; duplicates are flagged and private health items stay unticked until you choose them.
- Undo: any import can be undone for 7 days.

Step by step
- In your old app, export what you want to bring (or take screenshots).
- In OptiAI, open Settings, then Import your data, and choose Bring anything.
- Add the files, optionally say which app they came from, and tap Read.
- Check the review: everything is grouped by where it will go. Untick, rename or move anything, assign items to family members, and decide what to do with anything you already have.
- Tap Import. Imported items follow the sharing of the area they land in, just as if you had added them yourself.
App by app
- Cozi: Calendars can usually be shared or exported as a calendar (.ics) feed or file, which imports with repeats intact. For shopping and to-do lists, take screenshots.
- Todoist: Export a project as a CSV template from the project menu. OptiAI recognises the Todoist format and reads it without AI, keeping due dates and simple repeats such as "every Tuesday".
- Google Keep: Google Takeout can export your Keep notes; upload the .json files for the lists you want, or screenshots of them.
- Apple Reminders, Notion, AnyList, OurHome, Skylight: Use an export (CSV, text or JSON) where the app offers one, or screenshots where it does not.
- A spreadsheet: Save it as CSV. Column names do not need to match anything; OptiAI works out what each row is.
Already-supported imports
Some things have their own import in OptiAI, and the Import your data screen links straight to each: Google and Outlook calendars, Apple Health and Health Connect (Oura, Fitbit, Garmin and more sync through those), bank linking and bank statements, receipts, recipes from a link or photo, school report cards, medical, lab and prescription records, children's vaccination cards, insurance policies, event flyers, meal plan photos and home inventory photos.
What does not come across
Passwords, codes, bank or card numbers, personal contacts and journal-style notes are not imported. OptiAI lists them as "couldn't place" so you can decide what to do with them yourself.
